Tier 3 proof of care (EVV)
Tier 3 users can capture proof of care with EVV visit verification. This includes service type, clock-in geolocation, clock-out geolocation, and caregiver signature tied to the visit workflow.
Where to find it in the app
- Tier 3 tabs: Home, Patients, Care, Journal.
- Primary workflow location: Care tab (
/(tabs)/schedule) in shift workflows. - EVV routes used by the flow:
/evv/start,/evv/active,/evv/end,/evv.
How to use proof of care (step by step)
- Select the correct patient context (Tier 3 Patients tab).
- Open Care tab and start the shift visit flow.
- On EVV Clock-In: choose service type and confirm location readiness.
- Confirm clock-in to create the EVV visit record.
- Provide care during the active visit window.
- On EVV Clock-Out: confirm location and draw caregiver signature.
- Confirm clock-out to complete EVV proof-of-care capture.
What gets captured for proof of care
- Linked shift/visit context.
- Selected service type.
- Clock-in GPS coordinates (or fallback marker when location is unavailable).
- Clock-out GPS coordinates (or fallback marker when location is unavailable).
- Caregiver signature at clock-out.
- Geofence warning metadata when policy checks detect out-of-fence location.
Important behavior notes
- Service type must be selected before clock-in confirmation is enabled.
- Clock-out requires a signature before completion is enabled.
- If location permission is denied or unavailable, the flow can still continue with fallback location state.
- Some deployments may require additional biometric verification before clock-in or clock-out.
For payer-facing communication, complete EVV first, then use the Home tab Reports workspace when you need to generate and share report output.
